I have been training at Great Shape Bayside for 3 & 1/2 years & it’s been the best thing I’ve done in a long time. I’ve been to gyms before & have found them large & impersonal with big classes & no close supervision. It’s the complete opposite at Great Shape Bayside. Matt Sutherland is an excellent personal trainer, always positive, professional & on your side. The group classes are small & friendly & you are closely monitored by your trainer. I can’t believe how much my body has toned up. I dropped a jean size just from the exercise. I haven’t felt this well for a really long time & I have made some lovely new friends.
I can’t recommend highly enough what a brilliant place Great Shape Bayside is. Matt and the team, along with the members (a community within a community) welcomed me in with open arms. It’s a real social inclusive environment for all fitness levels, proving the support to achieve your goals. You can even bring your kids

Love the laid back style of Matt and the team at GSB. They work me hard in my sessions but have a friendly intimate atmosphere, compared to the clinical nature of larger studios. The team are well skilled, they listen to my needs and apply their training with motivation and good humour. Make the most of the space they have and get the best out of their clients.
Love Great Shape Bayside! I’ve been training with Matt for over 10 years and have been able to accomplish so many physical obstacles I never before thought possible. Matt, as well as all the other trainers, is supportive, informative, and encouraging. The facilities can accommodate both personal and group training activities. There is an ever expanding variety of equipment to allow for a range of muscular and cardiovascular exercise varieties- you’ll never do the same routine twice! It never hurts to try something new, so I would highly recommend training at Great Shape Bayside to see what you may be able to achieve as well!
I’ve spent nearly twelve months with Matt and the team at great shape. In this time the coaching and mentoring has helped me work towards my goals and I have lost almost 50kg. On top of this I had to have emergency surgery and Matt and the team has worked with me during the recovery period to ensure I didn’t over do it.
